Analyzing the Effectiveness of the Gang Reduction Youth Development Program using Dynamic Mode Decomposition

Abstract: Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) is applied on large data sets to assess the effectiveness of the Gang Reduction Youth Development (GRYD) Program. Aimed at reducing gang involvement in the city of Los Angeles, GRYD identifies eligibility through the Youth Set Eligibility Tool (YSET) questionnaire and provides services. The results of DMD applied on the YSET data sets confirm that GRYD is effective in reducing the risk of youth participants. Other methods using DMD include performing DMD on each category of the data sets.
