Workshops
Our first workshops in ART and CREATIVE WRITING will take place at FRESHBROOK COMMUNITY CENTRE on Thursday 18th April 2024!
Art sessions will be led by Nick.
Creative Writing sessions will be led by Debi.
All staff are fully DBS checked. The age ranges provided are a guide, and not a firm rule!
Please note the pop-up bookshop will remain open (in the same room as the workshops, so feel free to browse!) until 8pm.

Session Timetable
12-1pm – Creative Writing for Adults - Book Now
The Basics – we will experiment with freewriting and explore the way a story works. I would love to hear your ideas on what you’d like to include for future sessions! All materials provided but if you have a favourite notebook/pens feel free to bring them along!
1-2pm – Art for Adults - Book Now
Create a Character – Learn the basics of character creation using shapes and adding details in any style you choose (manga/comic book, realistic, abstract etc). All materials provided but if you have a favourite sketch book/pencils feel free to bring them along!
2-3pm - Creative Writing (Home Educated)

4-5pm – Creative Writing (ages 7-11) - Book Now
Create a Character – what do we need for a character to feel real? Design and describe your own unique character! All materials provided.
5-6pm - Art (ages 11-16) - Book Now

6-7pm – Art for Adults - Book Now

7-8pm - Creative Writing for Adults - Book Now

Each session is £5 per person, payable at the time of booking and fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event.
Each session has 12 spaces, two of which will be provided for free by our Access Fund.
All profit from secondhand book sales goes to our Access Fund, so no one is excluded from creative opportunity on the basis of their finances.
