By purchasing services from Swim Lessons LLC, all parties involved acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:
Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless Swim Lessons LLC, its owner, and operators from any and all liability, demands, claims, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon vicinity under the control and supervision of Swim Lessons LLC, its owner, and operators or in route to or from any of the said premises.
Safety
I give permission to Swim Lessons LLC, its owners, and operators to deny or terminate any and all lessons when they deem necessary.
For the safety of all our swimmers, Swim Lessons LLC reserves the right to not allow participation in the program by the instructor and/or swimmer if they are sick or have a malady that may be contagious.
Medical Treatment
Swim Lessons LLC instructors are not first aid certified and cannot administer first aid. The parent/guardian gives permission to Swim Lessons LLC, its owners, and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event a parent/guardian is not able to be reached. The parent/guardian will disclose all and any physical/mental problems, restrictions, and/or conditions of participants to Swim Lessons LLC, its owners, and operators.
Attendance
Swim Lessons LLC asks that every effort be made to attend lessons consistently for the success of the swimmer’s progress.
Instructor Cancellations
If the instructor cancels a lesson (inclement weather, for example), the lesson will be rescheduled.
In the case of an unexpected absence - Using the contact information in the client profile, the instructor will notify the client at least 2 hours before the lesson start time.
In the case of an expected absence - Using the contact information in the client profile, the instructor will notify the client at least 48 hours before the lesson start time.
Swim Lesson Cancellations
If the swimmer is going to miss a scheduled swim lesson, cancel the session by notifying Swim Lessons LLC at least 48 hours prior; otherwise, the swim lesson payment for that lesson will be forfeited. “Weather cancellations” the day of will be determined by the instructor.
If the swimmer becomes ill within 24 hours of the session date, notify the instructor to cancel the lesson. A make-up lesson can be scheduled. Maximum advance notice is appreciated.
If Swim Lessons LLC does not receive any notice of a timely cancellation notice or if the swimmer does not show up for the session, the session is considered a “no-show” appointment and will be forfeited.

Rescheduled Lessons
Rescheduled lessons must be within the same calendar year as the canceled lesson.
No refunds will be issued.
Pool Conditions
Temperature - To ensure the swimmers health and comfort, the pool’s temperature should be at or above 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
For private pools - in the event of an outside temperature below 70 degrees coupled with a pool temperature below 80 degrees, the client must notify Swim Lessons LLC at least 24 hours prior to the lesson.
If the instructor arrives for the lesson and the pool is too cold for the swimmer’s health, the lesson will be forfeited or a dry-land activity may be provided in lieu of a lesson in the water.
Pool Cleanliness - Pools used for swim lessons must be maintained at safe chemical levels and be clean/sanitary. If the pool is not up to water safety standards, the instructor may opt to do an out-of-water activity with the swimmer.
Swim Attire
All swimmers must wear proper outfits that are designed for swimming. To protect the swimmer on hot, sunny days or on cooler days, a long-sleeve rash guard shirt may be recommended.
Young children who are not trained to use the restroom must wear a swim diaper or two diapers under their swimming suit.
When hair may obscure the swimmer’s vision, the swimmer must use a hair tie or a swim cap.
Equipment recommendations:
Googles are recommended for swimming lessons. Recommendations include TYR or Speedo googles. Note: Swim Lessons LLC is not sponsored by or affiliated with these brands.
For swimmers who are working on developing or improving the freestyle, back or butterfly stroke, fins are recommended. A 2-4" length fin is recommended. We cannot use diver fins, which are typically 10" or longer.
Payment
Payment is due when the lesson is scheduled. Payment options include Venmo, cash or check. Payment is due before the start of the lesson. We do not offer refunds.
Checks are made payable to “Swim Lessons LLC”.
Cash should be placed in an envelope with the swimmer’s name.
Photo & Video Release
I authorize Swim Lessons LLC to take and use photographs and videos of myself or my child, for promotional or educational purposes on the Swim Lessons LLC website, social media, or other marketing materials. At any time, I understand that I may request photos and videos to NOT be recorded by informing the instructor or sending a written request to swimlessonsCHQ@gmail.com.
