Letter to the Editor in the Modoc County Record, Sept. 26, 2019

Dear Editor: During the months of June through July 2019, our family experienced two medical emergencies. I needed to go to the Emergency Room in Cedarville. I was quickly diagnosed, given the correct medicine, and referred to a specialist. About two weeks later, my husband’s condition suddenly deteriorated drastically and needed hospital admittance to stabilize his condition, and then return home. Unfortunately, this became impossible, and he passed away July 5, 2019. During his time in the hospital he was attended in the most professional and caring way. He was never left alone, and we were encouraged to be with him day and/or night as we wished. We were with him until he left us. I want to thank the well-trained and equipped Surprise Valley Ambulance Crew. Additionally, I want to thank the Cedarville Hospital/Clinic for giving excellent care to me and to my husband. ~Caroline M. Minto
