For Morning Drop-Off:
ALL STUDENTS must enter through the main entrance of the school & should arrive after 8:45 A.M., unless going to breakfast or 4thR. Please note, there is no crossing guard on duty until after 8:45 A.M. Parents are allowed to accompany their child across the street, but not to go on campus unless pre-approved to do so.
Breakfast is served 8:30 - 8:50 A.M.
Students in 4thR before-school care will be brought breakfast by 4thR staff.
Please note: the back gate of the school is not open before or during school hours.
For After-School Pick-Up:
Please ensure your child(ren)'s teacher(s) is notified whether you child will be:
Picked up by vehicle in the school parking lot.
Walking, biking, and/or picked up by waiting adult in front of school.
Walking, biking, and/or picked up by waiting adult in back of the school (to exit the back gate).
Going to 4thR or Academy of Scholars for after-school care.
If the teacher is not informed in advance, your child(ren) will automatically be brought to the drive-up pick-up area in the school parking lot. If they are not picked up within 10 minutes (or clearing of cars driving through the parking lot), they will be brought to the school office for safe pick-up.
Some Additional Safety Reminders:
All drive-through pick-up vehicles exiting the school parking, please left turn only onto Monterey Way.
For vehicles travelling (east) on 27th Street, please right turn only onto Monterey Way.
All drivers please be cautious and alert for pedestrians in front of the school, crossing Monterey Way and 27th Street.
For adults waiting for their child(ren) in front of the school, please do not shout your child's name from across the street. This could prompt your child to run into the street while it's not safe for crossing. Please remind your child(ren) to cross with the crossing guard in crosswalks.
Please do not make u-turns on Monterey Way during pickup and drop off hours.
