SCUSD School Board Meeting – April 8

The next meeting of the Sac City Unified School Board will be held on Thursday, April 8 starting at 6 p.m. For information about the items to be discussed at the board meeting, visit the District’s web site, here.

As many families are aware, recent correspondence from the Sac City Unified School District and the City of Sacramento’s 4th R program announced a sudden termination of 4th R services for after-school care on SCUSD campuses. Many families will be advocating to the District at the board meeting to reconsider that decision and resume 4th R services on campuses, including Sutterville.

PTA General Meeting & After-School Provider Discussion – April 15

The next General Meeting of the PTA will be held on Thursday, April 15 at 6pm. PTA members will be asked to vote on the slate of candidates for the Board, listed below. We will also have representatives from Sac City Unified School District and the City of Sacramento to discuss the recent changes in after-school care providers at Sutterville. Recent communications from the City and District indicate that the 4th R program is being eliminated from SCUSD campuses and a new provider, the Sacramento Chinese Community Services Center, has been selected to provide care. To attend this meeting and ask questions of our guest speakers, please register in advance, here.
