State's Investment and Spending Strategies

The State of Delaware updates its spending strategies every 5 years, the last done in 2020, and assigns Investment Levels from 1 to 4 and Out of Play.

APFO

• Sussex County does not have APFO, while both New Castle and Kent County do.

Impact Fees

• Sussex County has Sewer Use fees if they are connected to central sewer, which is often the case in new developments.

• Sussex County has Henlopen TID (Transportation Improvement District) in the coastal area, and developers pay a set fee to the transportation fund to be allocated for any project in the TID area.
