Professional Biography

Dr. Sushobhan Pradhan is a scientist, researcher, and innovator specializing in PVT analysis, flow assurance, and carbon capture. Currently serving as a Scientist at Engineered Innovation (ENNOVA LLC), he delivers data-driven, industry-focused solutions to complex challenges in petroleum and chemical engineering.

Dr. Pradhan earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University (2021), where his doctoral research advanced the understanding of surface chemistry, bubble nucleation, and enhanced oil recovery mechanisms. He went on to serve as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Villanova University (2021–2022) and later at Oklahoma State University (2022–2026), contributing to interdisciplinary research in energy systems, carbon capture, and subsurface processes.

His academic journey began with a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang (2014), followed by an M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Petroleum Science and Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (2016).

Over the years, his research has bridged two broad themes: energy and subsurface systems, including enhanced oil recovery, carbon capture, and multiphase flow, and advanced materials — spanning polymer science, biofuel technology, and coal beneficiation. 

Notably, his master's research on biopolymers earned him the National Award for Technology Innovation for innovation in Polymeric Materials from the Government of India in 2017. With over 35 peer-reviewed publications and more than 20 academic and leadership awards, Dr. Pradhan has established himself as a dedicated scholar and impactful contributor to the chemical and petroleum engineering community.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Pradhan values balance and creativity. He enjoys traveling, hiking mountains, and staying active through badminton, tennis, and bowling.
