Sushobhan born in Rairakhol, a naturally green city in Odisha, India. He started his pre-school in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Integral Education, Rairakhol, followed by primary level education in Rampur Sadar Primary School, Rairakhol, in 2003. He completed his secondary education in Goura Chandra High School, Rairakhol, in 2008. Subsequently, he moved to Sambalpur, to complete his higher-secondary education in Gangadhar Meher Junior College (now: Gangadhar Meher University (GMU)), Sambalpur.
In 2010, Sushobhan got admitted to Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang (under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Govt. of Odisha), Odisha, in the Department of Chemical Engineering through Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) to pursue his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). In 2014, he joined Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G), Assam, India, to pursue his Masters of Technology (M.Tech) with 'Petroleum Science and Technology' specialization and as a Teaching Assistant, through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination. After completing his M.Tech degree he joined in the School of Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA, as a Graduate Research and Teaching Associate (Ph.D.) in 2016, through his research credentials and standardized examinations (GRE and TOEFL). He defended his Ph.D. dissertation successfully in July 2021.
Sushobhan worked as a non-tenure-track appointment to the faculty in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Villanova University (VU), Villanova, Pennsylvania, USA and conducted research as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Villanova University from August, 2021 to February, 2022. Starting March, 2022, Sushobhan joined as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA.
