This dean's certificate is awarded to the students who earn Graduate College Digital Badges in four of the six skill development areas: Communication, Instruction, Leadership, Management, Research Services, and Wellness. Within each competency, there are three levels: building from knowledge and comprehension (Level 1) to application and analysis (Level 2), and culminating in synthesis and evaluation (Level 3).

To earn a Level 1 badge, students must complete two activities. At Level 2, in addition to two activities, students will need to answer the reflection questions (found in the content for each competency) for each activity. Level 3 requires completion of one activity as well as the reflection questions. Students must complete the self-reflection quiz to earn a Level 2 or Level 3 badge.

The Graduate Dean's certificate shows a sustained commitment toward professional development while earning a graduate degree. Each of the graduate students recognized in the Graduate Dean’s Professional Development Hall of Fame has earned the Dean’s Certificate for the 360° Critical Skills for Career Success Program.
