NOTE: In addition to the scheduled Mentor-Mentee one-on-one sessions, there are optional sessions with SUSE professionals on various topics of personal and professional development. As these sessions are confirmed, information will be added to this page and sent to mentees.

Feb 12 - Mentee kickoff

The SUSE Women in Technology Early Career Mentorship Program: Mentee Introduction

Hello mentees!

We welcome you all to join us on Saturday, February 12th at 11 AM EST to kick off the SUSE Women in Technology Early Career Mentorship Program with a Mentee Introduction. This program is in the third cohort and is sponsored by SUSE’s Women in Technology Network which aims to connect successful women in the tech space with girls and young women in high school and college.

Throughout the program, you will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with your mentor and learn about the corporate world, about SUSE, and about yourselves! This experience can be anything you need and want it to be, but to ensure that a wide variety of opportunities are presented, the Program Staff will ensure that mentors have a mentorship plan. You will also have the opportunity to meet with other leaders and teams at SUSE to learn more about the topics that interest you most.

feb 19 - program kick off

The SUSE Women in Technology Early Career Mentorship Program Kick Off!

Week of FEB 21 - 1st meeting

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to have their second one-on-one meeting and mentees will be able to join a working meeting with the mentor.

Week 5 Optional meeting - "The Perfect Resume"

Wednesday, August 4th at 11 AM EST.

Hello Early Career Mentorship Program Participants,

Join us for an optional career session, during which Aubrey Bock, a former English major turned Recruiter with over 10 years of recruitment in tech, will go over best practices for resume writing, big Dos and Don'ts, and how to write a resume specifically as an early career candidate.

Come ready with your questions! This small group presentation and discussion will ensure your concerns are addressed.

Week of MAR 7 - 3rd Meeting

SUSE employees will be hard at work closing out the Fiscal Year for the firm the week of Oct 25, so meetings are optional. If mentors and mentees are able, they are welcome to continue conversations.

Week of MAR 14 - Optional Week! Spring Break!

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to have their third one-on-one meeting and mentees will be able to join a working meeting with the mentor.

Week of MAR 21 - 4th meeting

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to have their fourth one-on-one meeting and mentees will be able to join a working meeting with the mentor.

Week of mar 28 - 5th Meeting

In light of Thanksgiving and other fall/winter celebrations, many employees will be on break, so meetings are optional. If mentors and mentees are able, they are welcome to continue conversations.

Week of April 4 - 6th meeting

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to have their sixth one-on-one meeting and mentees will be able to join a working meeting with the mentor.

Week of April 11 - 7th meeting

Mentors and mentees will be encouraged to have their sixth one-on-one meeting and mentees will be able to join a working meeting with the mentor.

APRIL 23 - Finale

The SUSE Women in Technology Early Career Mentorship Program Finale!

Hello everyone! We welcome you all to join us to celebrate the conclusion of the SUSE Women in Technology Early Career Mentorship Program. Over the last few months, this program, sponsored by SUSE’s Women in Technology Network, connected successful women in the tech space with girls and young women in high school and college.

Throughout the winter, our mentees had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the mentors. In addition, they joined SUSE meetings and got a feeling for the professional, corporate world. Finally, the mentees were invited to optional sessions where they could learn more about recruiting, SUSE, and themselves.
