Introduced by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, this legislation aims to strengthen protections and institutional responses for college students, and our organization is honored to sponsor this bill. AB 2212 is grounded in student-led, survivor-informed research conducted across California’s higher education systems. Our findings make clear that when students experience harm, including technology-facilitated abuse, institutional trust, access to support, and clear reporting pathways are critical.
