Player Application Questions:
Q: What does the application process look like to play Survivor Carolina?
A: After submitting your initial application, you will wait to receive an email from the Survivor Carolina Production team, telling you whether you have made it through onto the next round. If you are selected to continue, you will schedule an online interview with members of the casting department and our President. From there, the Casting department will make their final selections on who will play on the season.
Q: Is there something specific I should write about for the player application?
A: We want to know why you want to play on the season but more importantly, we also want to know more about you! The more authentic you are, the better your application will be!
Q: Once I am cast, what are the next steps?
A: If selected to play, Survivor Carolina will email you a series of a next steps for you to complete before playing the game. You must also submit a $15 due payment that will be put into the budget of Survivor Carolina's production team or into the prized winnings the winner will receive at the end of the game.
Q: Do I have to pay to play Survivor Carolina?
A: Yes. Selected players will be required to pay a $15 due that will go into our budget for the season and/or the prize money.

Production Application Questions:
Q: What does the application process look like to be on the Production Crew of Survivor Carolina?
A: The Production Application is on a rolling basis and will help us gage where you will best fit! Simply fill out the google form, and you will recieve an email about next steps.
Q: Do I need to have experience to apply for certain departments?
A: No! You can apply for as many departments as you want regardless of your experience level. Production will review your application and place you in the best area that fits your skillset and interest.
Q: How can I apply for an executive position?
A: Executive Positions are only available to apply for once you are inside of the organization and are determined through an electoral process.
Q: I played last season, can I apply to be on Production?
A: Of course you can!! A good majority of our Production members are players from previous seasons.

Gameplay Questions:
Q: How does the game work?
A: The game runs over the course of a semester and weekly When2Meet's are sent to players to determine their availability.
Q: Do I film my own footage? .
A: Yes! If you are a player you must film your own footage unless it is at competitions and tribal councils (that footage is captured by Production). Conversations, interactions, and other moments of dialogue between other players must be filmed and sent to our Production team.
Q: I am really struggling with the game, is there someone I can talk too about how I am feeling?
A: Absolutely. You can talk to anyone on the Survivor Carolina Production crew or members of our Mental Health and Safety department. If we feel that the game is taking a tole on your health and wellbeing, we will suggest you go to UNC-Chapel Hill's mental health services (CAPS), Campus Health, or leave the game all together. We also have on on-site EMT in our organization that capable of assisting players in need of physical health. Your safety is our top priority and this game is merely meant to be fun and lighthearted for everyone involved.
Q: How much of a time commitment is the game?
A: If you are playing the game, typically you will be required to attend two meetings within a week, one challenge and one tribal council. In total, your meetings will be around 2-3 hours a week. If you are on Production, there is a bit more of a time commitment, depending on your role and department (set up and break down of challenges, pre season commitments, etc.)
