Counseling Services Referral Grades 7-12
The school counseling referral process allows students, parents, and staff to request support for academic, career, or personal/social concerns. Referrals can be made by teachers, administrators, parents, or students themselves using a referral form or by directly contacting the school counselor. Once a referral is received, the counselor reviews the concern, meets with the student to assess needs, and determines appropriate next steps. These may include short-term counseling, parent contact, consultation with teachers, or referrals to outside mental health professionals or community resources.
Confidentiality is maintained throughout the process, and follow-up is provided to ensure ongoing support and student well-being.
