I’m a student at John F Kennedy High School, and my main goal when I represent Kennedy at surf is equity, to make sure Kennedy has the same resources as other schools. As a Title 1 school, we often lack funding and learning materials, which significantly impact student’s opportunities, and I want to help change that by making Kennedy more equitable, by focusing on issues students at Kennedy face.

As a rising junior at Mission San Jose High School, I've been immersed in a systemic atmosphere characterized by intense academic pressure and competition. Through my experiences as a SurfBoardE representative, I aim to cultivate mental health support for students by increasing overall access to resources and actively advocating for more mental health initiatives, such as enhancing wellness center accessibility and promoting the integration of mental health literacy within the school's curriculum. By cordially communicating with other FUSD representatives, educators, and the District Board of Education, I hope to better equip students with adequate resources that will ensure success both academically and mentally.
