SURFBoardE (Students United for Representation to the Fremont Unified School District Board of Education) is a student group comprised of twenty students from schools in the Fremont Unified School District. It includes three representatives from each high school, American, Irvington, Kennedy, Mission, and Washington as well as one representative from each middle school.
The student group serves as a liaison between the students of FUSD and the district's Board of Education. SURFBoardE meets twice a month to discuss student issues, plan the District Representative Conference (DRC), and most importantly serve as the student voice at the district level.

Arnav Rastogi, a rising senior at American High School, will be serving as the FUSD Student Board Member for the 2026-2027 school year! The SBM advocates for the needs of all FUSD students on the Board of Education. If you ever see an issue you want to see addressed in our schools, reach out to SURFBoardE and Arnav!
