This addendum supplements the general Privacy Policy for apps developed by Sureshbhai and provides specific details about how GlowScore handles facial photograph data. By using GlowScore, you agree to both the general Privacy Policy and this addendum.
GlowScore collects facial photographs that you voluntarily provide by taking a photo with your device camera or selecting an image from your photo library.
We do not collect:
Biometric identifiers or face ID data
Facial recognition templates or identifiers
3D depth or mesh facial data (no ARKit or TrueDepth usage)
Facial geometry or landmark coordinates
The collected data is a standard JPEG photograph — identical to any photo taken with your device's Camera app. No facial recognition or biometric processing occurs on-device.
Your facial photograph is used for the following purposes within GlowScore:
Visual Analysis — The photograph is temporarily converted to base64 format and sent to Google's Gemini AI API, which analyzes the visual appearance (not biometric data) and returns text-based scores and wellness tips covering attributes such as skin clarity, facial symmetry, and jawline definition.
Score Display — Results are displayed within the app as numerical scores (0–100) for each facial attribute, forming your "GlowScore."
Progress Tracking — The photograph is stored locally on your device alongside its scores to enable you to track your facial wellness progress over time in the "Glow Journey" history view.
AI Coaching — Your scores (not the photo) are referenced by the GlowCoach AI chat feature to provide personalized wellness advice and 30-day improvement plans.
Habit Correlation — Scores are optionally linked to your Glow Journal daily habit entries (sleep, water, skincare, exercise, stress) to show how lifestyle choices impact your GlowScore over time.
No facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric processing is performed at any point.
Your facial photograph is transmitted exclusively to Google LLC's Gemini API for one-time visual analysis. This is the only third-party data transmission.
Google processes the image under their API Terms of Service.
Google does not retain submitted images after the API response is returned.
Google does not use submitted images for model training.
No face data or derived data is shared with any other third party, advertiser, data broker, or analytics service.
For more information, review Google's Privacy Policy.
All facial photographs and scan results are stored exclusively on your local device using on-device persistent storage (React Native AsyncStorage).
GlowScore does not operate any backend servers, databases, or cloud storage for user data.
No face data is stored outside your device.
The base64 image sent to Google's Gemini API is processed in-memory during the API call and is not retained by Google after the response is returned.
Facial photographs and scan results are retained on your device until you take one of the following actions:
Delete Account — Use the "Delete Account" option in Profile → Danger Zone. This permanently and irrecoverably erases all scan photos, scan results, habit logs, and personal preferences stored by GlowScore.
Uninstall the app — Removing GlowScore from your device deletes all locally stored data.
Upon deletion, all locally stored data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
GlowScore is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect facial photographs or personal data from children.
If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us immediately at sureshbhaikhunt79@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.
GlowScore requests permission to access your device camera and photo library solely to allow you to capture or select a facial photograph for GlowScore analysis. These permissions are used only when you actively initiate a scan. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device Settings.

GlowScore collects standard facial photographs (JPEG images) that users voluntarily capture using their device camera or select from their photo library. The app does NOT collect:
Biometric face mapping or face ID data
Facial recognition identifiers or templates
3D depth or mesh face data (no ARKit or TrueDepth usage)
Facial geometry or landmark coordinates
The collected data is a standard photograph — identical to any photo a user would take with their Camera app. No facial recognition or biometric processing occurs on-device.
The facial photograph is used for one purpose: AI-powered visual analysis to generate the user's "GlowScore" — a set of aesthetic wellness scores covering facial symmetry, skin quality, jawline definition, and cheekbone prominence. Specifically:
Visual Analysis — The photograph is temporarily converted to base64 format and sent to Google's Gemini AI API, which analyzes the visual appearance (not biometric data) and returns text-based scores and improvement tips.
Score Display — Results are displayed within the app showing numerical scores (0–100) for each facial attribute.
Progress Tracking — The photograph is stored locally on the user's device alongside its scores to enable users to track their facial wellness progress over time in the "Glow Journey" history view.
AI Coaching — The scores (not the photo) are referenced by our GlowCoach AI chat feature to provide personalized wellness advice.
Habit Correlation — Scores are optionally linked to the user's Glow Journal daily habit entries (sleep, water, skincare) to show how lifestyle choices impact their GlowScore.
No facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric processing is performed.
Third-party sharing: The facial photograph is transmitted exclusively to Google LLC's Gemini API for one-time visual analysis. This is the only third-party data transmission. Google processes the image under their API Terms of Service and does not retain submitted images after the API response is returned, nor use them for model training. No face data is shared with any other third party, advertiser, data broker, or analytics service.
Storage location: All facial photographs and scan results are stored exclusively on the user's local device using React Native AsyncStorage (on-device persistent storage). GlowScore does not operate any backend servers, databases, or cloud storage for user data. No face data is stored outside the user's device.
Face photos and scan results are stored on the user's device indefinitely until the user takes one of these actions:
Uses the "Delete Account" feature in Profile → Danger Zone, which permanently and irrecoverably erases all photos, scan results, habit logs, and preferences.
Uninstalls the application, which removes all locally stored data.
The base64 image sent to Google's Gemini API is processed in-memory during the API call and is not retained by Google after the response is returned, per Google's API data usage policies.
Our privacy policy contains a dedicated "Facial Photograph Data" section with the following subsections:
"What We Collect" — describes that only standard JPEG photographs are collected, with no biometric data
"How We Use Your Facial Photographs" — explains the AI visual analysis for GlowScore generation
"Third-Party Processing" — discloses Google Gemini API usage and confirms no other third-party sharing
"Data Storage" — confirms all data is stored locally on-device with no server-side storage
"Data Retention & Deletion" — explains retention period and user deletion options
"Children's Privacy" — states the app is not for children under 13

GlowScore is not a simple face-rating app. It is a comprehensive facial wellness platform with several unique features that differentiate it from any other app on the App Store:
Proprietary GlowScore Analysis: Our multi-dimensional scoring algorithm evaluates 6 distinct facial attributes (symmetry, skin quality, jawline, cheekbones, potential, overall) using AI, providing detailed per-metric scores with actionable improvement paths — not just a single number.
GlowCoach AI: A unique AI coaching personality that provides honest, data-driven facial wellness advice based on the user's specific scan results. GlowCoach references actual score numbers and provides personalized 30-day improvement plans.
Glow Journal: A daily habit tracking system that correlates lifestyle habits (sleep, hydration, stress, skincare, exercise) with GlowScore changes over time. Our correlation engine reveals which habits most impact the user's scores — a feature unique to GlowScore.
Personalized Face Exercise Routines: AI-generated daily face yoga and exercise routines that specifically target the user's lowest-scoring metrics, with XP-based gamification and streak tracking.
Achievement System: A comprehensive badge-based achievement system with 12+ unique milestones tied to real facial wellness progress, exercise completion, and consistent usage.
Face Data Privacy: All face data is stored locally on-device. No backend servers store user photos. The only third-party transmission is to Google's Gemini API for analysis, which does not retain images.
Camera & Photo Library Usage: The app uses the camera to capture facial photographs for AI analysis. Users can also select existing photos from their library. Purpose strings explain this clearly with specific examples.
Test Account: No login is required. Simply launch the app and follow the onboarding flow. For testing the paywall, you can dismiss it and access all features.
