Portraits

I've always been enchanted by the many ways to illustrate a person's face. from the soft curves of the cheeks to the eyes and lips the cupids bow... I work as a caricature artist as my main source of income. I have to know the rules to break them, and be able to know which features of a persons face to exaggerate at a moments notice. Therefore, it's especially important to me to stay on my toes when understanding the structure of the human face. It's a consistent skill check of sorts, like painting a portrait or drawing a head, that allows me to know what direction I'm heading based on where I was before. a good artist strives for self awareness.
