Welcome to my Portfolio!
This is my largest mural project , 2024: a Commission in which I was prompted to create a flow of fun colorful characters that emulate nature and a peaceful environment for an office space with no windows, leave a gap for mounting a television in the center and include a hedgehog mascot. below is the final work and the initial concept art as well. this wall is actually 3 walls curving into each other and wrapping around the corners of this office. I had to guarantee a cohesive composition and color pallet from every angle in the room, and I incorporated a few story telling elements as well.

I worked a short internship in 2023 with perfect day games under my mentor at the time James McDonald, to come up with a few initial concepts for an area in a game called Robot Quest Arena. and to learn about concept art in the game industry in general here is some of what I achieved during that time as shown below: I came up with some initial designs for a navigable environment, a handful of NPC character designs, 2 focus characters, a few robots and Vehicle designs as well, All in the games intended art style. all these images are owned by perfect day games.
"Void" 2021 painting 2.5/4.75 feet. The beginning of an aspirational series of paintings around the themes of fear and scale in direct relation to the human mind. read more about my story telling and creative goals on the page About me.
"dead mentality" Oct 2022 24/30 inches. experimental piece symbolizing what it feels like to be overly curious about our own deaths
I focus my time on creating what I believe will help me grow as an artist in the modern day, small paintings and illustrations for social media including concept art, character designs, color studies, portraits, and fandom art just to name a few examples. I'm always looking to challenge myself by experimenting with new styles, shape languages and color pallets. below are various paintings and sketches that I've created to do just that, in my journey to learn and grow my artistic reach.

Stylized pet portrait commission one thing I love to do for people is draw their pets its a good way to make some extra money and the pet owners get a to have a piece of art that they love forever. the one featured above could certainly be a cleaner design but I still thouroughly enjoy the colors in this piece.

I use portraiture to experiment with different styles as well as track how my own art skills evolve over time. view all my favorites on the portraits page. And See how I have done some portraiture in commissions as well.
Being bi racial my hair was a source of bullying and deep insecurity for me growing up. So during a change in my life I made an explorational and experimental series of portraits. Unintentionally at the time enjoying the processes of creating art for the purpose of self acceptance, creating art of beautiful women with curls and various hair textures, so that I myself could learn to see my own hair as beautiful too. creating this series of illustrations helped me learn not just how to draw hair but to view it as something as natural and normal regardless of the person beneath it.
All of which were hand drawn using 0.7-0.9 black-liners on Bristol paper.
Despite fanart being frowned upon in most traditional fine-art spaces, in my experience fan art has been something that connects and unites artists the most. I believe this is because most famous stories are able to unite anyone. Ironically, when one considers history, the difference between a renaissance era oil painting of Jesus and a marker sketch of a pre existing anime character is time, both are technically fan art. I think its beautiful and I find no shame in participating, and showing my love for these stories and characters with practice. I find a lot of joy and satisfaction creating art of my favorite characters and people in pop culture and I want to continue to celebrate that.

2016 National Scholastic Gold Key Award for an individual piece. This drawing is done in ink and watercolor on band sheet music paper that belonged to my great grandfather. He was a marching band director during WWII. So this paper is literally from the 1940's. I come from a family of many musicians so this piece is meant to honor that history, as well as act as recognition to all artists who love their craft so much that its all they know.
