SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA

June 2018

On December 1975, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, with the support of Neal Adams and Jerry Robinson, were able to reclaim their credits as the creators of Superman. They were also able to achieve a lifetime pension from Warner Bros. and DC Comics.

On Christmas 1975, they reached a final settlement with DC Comics, which allowed them to receive a pension and recognition for their contributions to the character. Also they recovered the credit as creators of Superman. This settlement gave them financial stability, allowing them to move to Santa Monica and live out the rest of their lives there. Again they were living less than 1 km from each other. And they would continue being close friends until Joe's death in 1992. Jerry would live in Santa Monica with his wife Joanne until his death in 1996.
