The faculty and staff of SUNY Potsdam's Department of Public Health and Human Performance have created this short training module for all SUNY Potsdam students. Using best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and New York State guidelines, they have identified some key practices to help you prevent the spread of COVID-19 at SUNY Potsdam and in our surrounding community.
In the Training Tabs, you'll find a definition of each concept, why it's important to our health at Potsdam and practical "How to Videos" with guest appearances from our own Public Health specialists. You'll learn more about:
Effectively wearing a mask
Washing your hands
Maintaining social distancing
What do do if you feel sick
We're asking all students to complete this training prior to coming to campus. Each Training Tab includes a short quiz, the completion of which will be retained for each student. This training should take you no longer than 20 minutes to complete. As we progress through the semester, keep an eye out for weekly health tips from Public Health and Human Performance.
To get started, you can select the "Wearing a Mask" button below, or navigate this site using the tabs at the top of your screen. And remember..... Bears are strongest together!
