OUR VISITATION POLICY
Even though we enjoy meeting our future puppy families, we have a policy of not allowing visits from individuals who have not completed and/or signed the following three items:
1. Puppy Reservation Deposit
2. Questionnaire Form for Puppy Reservations
3. Puppy Deposit Agreement Form
Although we enjoy showing our adorable puppies in-person, we are not a commercial kennel. Balancing our busy lives along with the care of lots of puppies leaves us with limited time to accommodate everyone. Therefore, we can only accommodate the visitation of families that have completed the above three items.
Additionally, we only permit visits once our puppies are at least 6 weeks old and have received their first vaccination. The main reason we do this is to keep the puppies safe from catching any canine diseases that can be hidden in our clothes and shoes and can be potentially fatal to our unvaccinated litter of young puppies. When puppies are at least 6 weeks old, we will give families the opportunity to visit their puppies as this will give the puppies the chance to finally meet you and be beneficial to their social development.
WHAT IF YOU NEED TO VISIT AND SEE THE PUPPY BEFORE DECIDING?
If you are interested in a litter, but prefer to wait until you can physically see the puppies before making a reservation, then you are required to schedule an appointment to see the remaining puppies only when they reach 10 weeks of age, and not before that. We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our young puppies by refusing to expose them to potentially dangerous viruses from individuals who are casually shopping for a puppy. Before we display any remaining puppies, we must first ensure that all puppies that have been reserved have safely went to their new homes by the 8th week. Viewings for any remaining puppies will only be permitted once the puppies have reached a minimum age of 10 weeks of age, ensuring that they have received at least two rounds of vaccinations to provide protection against a combination of Distemper, Parvo, Adenovirus, and Parainfluenza.
We can also arrange a zoom call for you to see the puppies virtually before finalizing your reservation before the 8th week, which is the only alternative accommodation available.
WHAT COMES HOME WITH THE PUPPY
Once your puppy is 6 weeks old, we will send you an email containing valuable information on how to care for your puppy once you take them home. Most of this information can already be found on our website and essentially includes details about your puppy's diet, essential items to have at home for when your puppy arrives, and resources that provide helpful guidance on how to train your puppy, etc.
When you pick-up your puppy on week 8, you will receive a copy of the Dam (Mom) & Stud (Dad) AKC Pedigree, a copy of the AKC Litter Certificate, NuVet Pamphlets, AKC papers for Limited Registration, a comprehensive health record indicating all the vaccinations and deworming treatments your puppy has undergone while under our care. Additionally, the puppy will have dewclaws removed (TBD) and be microchipped with AKC Re-Unite, and we will provide a toy or blanket carrying the scent of their litter to ensure a smoother adaptation to their new environment once your puppy arrives home.
