Sunaina developed her interest in dance at the age of three. Her parents recognized her interest. Along the way, they encouraged and supported her passion of dance.
while started learning kathak she started doing her own choreography. Sunaina performed and won various dance competitions at district and state levels in India. She earned her Masters degree (Prabhakar degree) in kathak from Prayag Kala Sangeet Samiti Allahabad and her diploma in Tabla as well.
Sunaina learned Kathak from Shri Rajendra Srivastava who is a disciple of Pt. Birju Maharajji.
Sunaina is an accomplished kathak dancer. Her emphasis is on perfection and complete mastery of technical nitty-gritty of kathak. Subtle “Abhinaya” (acting), lithe and elegant footwork, graceful movements are some of the fine hallmarks of her performance. Sunaina is teaching kathak/Semi-Classical and Bollywood dance classes in the Ashburn Area. Sunaina was also part of judges panel on several dance competitions including Heritage festival , KAGW.
She has won numerous amounts of medals and trophies for writing ,fancy dress, drama, sports, flower decoration and poetry competitions. She was recognized as the top student during her middle school years. Her other hobbies include painting and singing. Outside of classes, she has a husband, and two children, who she take cares of.
