Become a Member
To participate in Summit X, you must first become a member of our tribe.
To streamline the joining process, there will now be only one type of membership with the Free and Unlimited options falling away. This means that all members are automatically entered for SummitX. Although there will still be an opportunity to do some of the mountains independently, as in the past, this will be limited to certain peaks only, which will be indicated on the Peaks List spreadsheet in the members-only area on this website.

Annual Membership Options:
Individual - R400.00
Couple - R600.00
Family (max 2 adults and 3 Kids) - R 800.00
Pensioner - R300
The costs for the organized group events will vary and be determined by the duration and accommodation needs and permits required, where applicable. All events must be booked in advance through the booking platform provided. No EFT bookings will be accepted unless specifically communicated as such, to simplify our admin.
Visitors (non-members) will be allowed to join on some of the organised events from time to time which will not include restricted sites where special permits are required.
All major events like Eswatini 3-in-1, Blazing Trails, Fanie Botha Extreme, Monte Binga and Thabana Ntlenyana will require a 20% non-refundable deposit upon booking and will be subject to availability.
Refund and cancellation policy
Booking cancellations need to be done 30 days prior to the event in order to be considered for a refund. For major events, bookings need to be made at least three months prior, depending on availability. For any cancellations that are received after 30 days prior to an event, a refund will be subject to the availability of a replacement as per the waiting list. If no such waiting list exists, the onus lies with the event ticket holder to find a replacement. No refunds will be given or replacements arranged for last-minute (one week prior) cancellations.
