SummitX Mission/ Vision/ Code of Conduct
SummitX is an annual, year long event in which entrants are required to achieve a minimum number of vertical meters by reaching the summits of a number of pre-selected peaks within one specific year, in order to qualify for a medal of recognition.
Vision
SummitX is a Mountain initiative for mountain enthusiasts whether they choose hiking, mountain biking, 4x4 or off-road/ quad bikes as their discipline. Access to the mountain will determine which disciplines are permitted per site.
We welcome people from all walks of life and practice tolerance for every person's beliefs or choice of lifestyle. We celebrate the biodiversity of our Mountain regions as well as the diversity of the people in our beautiful country. We aspire to cultivate a deep appreciation for mountains and create awareness of the importance of preserving mountain ecosystems. We observe and celebrate International Mountain Day annually, on 11 December.
