Trash & Recycling: 

• Trash: Trash should be securely bagged and placed in the dumpster using the sliding door on either side.  Please keep the sliding doors closed at all times.  This helps to reduce animals tearing apart the bags and keeps odors under control.  Under no circumstance should loose food items be placed in the dumpster as this attracts rodents/animals and creates a general mess.

•  Boxes: Boxes MUST be broken down and placed inside green recycling bins.  If they are too large to fit in bins they may be placed between bins.  If a resident fails to properly break down their boxes the resident will receive a reminder for the first offense and a $50 fine per box for each offense thereafter.

• Recycling: Make sure that only recycling is placed in the recycling bins; no trash is allowed. Recyclable items include cans, cartons, glass, paper, and plastic containers but no plastic bags.  It is important that any items placed in recycling are cleaned and free from organic matter/food particles that may smell and attract animals, especially in warm summer weather.
