Participating Orgs

Orgs need to submit their project proposal by 13th March, 2019 to geoforgood-india@google.com.

We are looking for projects that:

    • Are executed end-to-end in Google Earth Engine
    • Are research-oriented and High Impact in nature for the Indian landscape
    • Are central to your organization's domain expertise be it in Water Resources, Nature Conservation, Agriculture, Wildlife and Conflict Management or Natural Resource Management.
    • Can terminate in a Poster Paper at the end of 3 months and that has to potential to turn into a full fledged research paper down the line.
    • Is feasible for execution by a student at a Masters/PhD academic level with a functional understanding of Google Earth Engine over a duration of 3 months
    • Can be executed/mentored remotely

SoEE is a very intimate program and we invite only 5 chosen orgs to send in their project proposals.

The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics is an international organization which conducts agricultural research for rural development.

Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is a global non-profit organisation which generates interdisciplinary knowledge to inform policy and practice towards conservation and sustainability.

The Centre for Wildlife Studies, is an internationally recognized centre-of-excellence in the areas of wildlife research, in situ conservation, policy and education.
