Mentors are the backbone of a successful Summer of Earth Engine research project.
During the program, the mentor is responsible for guiding the student through the execution of the research project: defining milestones for student to achieve, providing domain/subject-matter expertise as well as expertise with the Earth Engine platform, wherever the student needs guidance and help.
It is highly recommended for the mentor to have had considerable hands-on experience with Earth Engine in the past.
