Tampere reading group

The Tampere reading group in philosophy of mathematics Has been running from the year 2016. We read various articles from classics to more recent publications. Themes include set-theory, epistemoplogy of mathematics and the relationship between mathematics and empirical sciences. Although the main focus has been on articles some monographs have also been included such as Thinking About Mathematics by Steward Shapiro and Defending the Axioms by Penelope Maddy.

The group is open to all and meet approximately once in a fortnight. Participation is possible both remotely and locally in Tampere.

The discussions have been in Finnish, but the majority of text are in English. If you would wish to participate, but the language is an issue, you should sent a message to the email-list. (You must be a member of the list to post.)
