Hi, I'm Suhail, a Roboticist from Bangladesh.

Suhail Haque Rafi is Pursuing Master in Autonomous Systems at Bonn-Aachen International Center for Information Technology (b-it) in Collaboration with Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS), The Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems (IAIS), University of Bonn & RWTH Aachen University. Previously, he worked as a Research Engineer of Robotics & AI at BRAC University Department of CSE. His research focus in on Intelligent Navigation and Manipulation. He was the Technical Advisor of the University Mars Rover team, BRACU Mongol-Tori, that secured 8th place at the prestigious University Rover Challenge 2025 held at Mars Desert Reseach Station, Utah, USA. This is the best position the team has gained in their 9 years of participation at in URC. 

Suhail Rafi did his Bachelor of Science from the same university. His undergraduate studies were in Computer Science. During the span of his undergrad life, he was actively involved in significant projects of the university, such as the University Mars Rover, the IEEE RAS Mars Drone Design, etc. It was during this time that he got involved in the development of the autonomous application for NASA Astrobee Robots through the Kibo Robot Programming Challenge organized by JAXA, and in 2021, his team became the National Champions, followed by securing the Runner-Up spot in the International Round. His team was the first in the history of Bangladesh to deploy code at the International Space Station.

The following year, he led the University Mars Rover team to reach the Final Round of the prestigious University Rover Challenge held at the Mars Desert Research Station, in Utah, USA. His undergrad thesis involved Autonomous Precision Landing of UAV Digital Twins on Moving Platforms and Geospatial Data Analytics from UAV Imagery.
