SOLIDWORKS Construction
To create our landing gear, we first created a seperate landing gear part on SolidWorks.
We then created a seperate dropping mechanism on SolidWorks.
To finish the landing gear design, we combined the dropping mechanism and landing gear to create a singular part. This is the final SolidWorks design of our landing gear.

Test print of the part set to hold up the servo
This was one of our first test prints to ensure that the part set to hold up the servo matched up with the size of the servo, both length and width. additionally it was also to ensure that the holes would be the right size to implement heat set inserts, which would properly secure the servo.

Test Print of The mechanism wrapping around the drone arms
This was one of our second test prints meant to ensure that the part fit snuggly around the drone arms. This test print was slightly too big, around a centimeter too loose. revisions were made in the final print, where it was snug to the arms.

Final Product
The fitment of the dropping mechanism/landing gear was perfect on our drone. However, an issue that we noticed was that the landing gear was not positioned correctly wit the front of the drone. The landing gear is the same for our test flights and actual mission because it is connected to the dropping mechanism.
