I have learnt many things through this group project for the subject MPU3222: Foundation of Entrepreneurship Inculturation. The group project requires me to join a group of six people and to open up a business. First and foremost, I learnt how to actually operate a business belonging to myself for the first time in my life, in line with the many topics that I have studied in this subject. I found out that opening a business is not as easy as it seems, and that there is a systematic way in handling a business of your own. For instance, we were asked to come up with a Business Model Canvas, and also plan out our business organisation chart. In addition, I learnt the importance of cooperation and effective communication between members. It is vital for a group to actually discuss and brainstorm ideas for our business together, and to help each other out in our respective responsibilities if we aim to successfully operate our business, Sugarloved. Without the consistent support from one another, Sugarloved may not be as great as it currently is now. Besides, I also realised that time management is key. Between being a full-time student and balacing the Sugarloved business, it is sometimes hard for me to check up and keep updates on my business. However, I managed to persevere through managing my time wisely, and I am certain that it will be easier for me to be up to date on any future endeavors while also balancing my life as a student. In a nutshell, this group project has opened up my eyes on so many things, and I consider it such a golden opportunity in improving myself as a person. Therefore, I am grateful that I am given the chance to participate in this group project, along with my group members who I will certainly cherish for a long time.
