Sugar ICUMSA 150 - Brazil is today the largest producer of sugar cane in the world, in addition to being the first in the production of ethanol and sugar, being responsible for 48% of world exports of this commodity. The term ICUMSA is an acronym called the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis, or International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis in free translation.

ICUMSA 150 white cane sugar is also called white crystal sugar, formed by the crystallization process, without chemical refining. It is widely used because it contains less chemical. It is a more readily available and lower cost replacement for traditional ICUMSA 45 refined white sugar. ICUMSA 150 white sugar is often used in large-scale baking, beverage manufacturing, and the production of other food products.

Sugar is natural sweetener of sucrose (C₁₂H₂₂O₁₁) with 99.5 % of purity, shown in solid composed of small crystals. Obtained from sugarcane by extraction of sugarcane juice, the addition of chemicals to sugar will define what type will be produced and treatment of refining and crystallization.

CRYSTAL SUGAR

Glass sugar or special crystal is the name given to sugar obtained by controlled crystallization of treated cane juice.

SUGAR PURITY

The crystal sugar undergoes a clarification process through sulfitation and chalk. It consists of fine, regular, high-gloss crystals and 99.5% purity, widely used in the production of carbonated drinks, liqueurs, juices, ice creams and sweets in general.

FEATURES.

Icumsa 150 has a low soluble solids content. It has a lighter color, with a tendency to white and can be stored for up to two years.
