There are several ways to get involved and volunteer at Suffield!
Classroom volunteers are utilized for many events and programs at the school. You can sign up to be more than one type of volunteer.
Please note: in order to be considered for any of the in-Classroom Volunteer opportunities you must be a paid member of the Suffield PTA (link below) AND fill out the Suffield PTA Class Volunteer Form (link below)
Head Classroom Coordinator- acts as a liaison between the volunteers and the teacher. They are also responsible for coordinating the classroom party volunteers. A lottery system will be used to choose these participants if there is more than one volunteer for this role.
Classroom Volunteer- volunteers their time in the classroom on an as-needed basis as determined by the teacher.
Active Classroom Party Volunteer- is responsible to help the Head Classroom Coordinator plan and attend one party, Halloween or Holiday/Christmas. A limited number of 4 parents/guardians will be allowed to participate in the parties. A lottery system will be used to choose these participants if there are more than 4 volunteers. This number is determined by the school principal, not the PTA.
Inactive Classroom Party Volunteer- does not attend parties, but volunteers to send in requested items, snacks, supplies, etc. as requested by the Head Classroom Coordinator.
