Classroom Volunteers are utilized for many events and programs at the school. The volunteer program includes Head Classroom Coordinators, Classroom Volunteers, Active and Inactive Classroom Party Volunteers. Below is a description of duties. You can sign up to be more than one type of volunteer. Please note: you will ONLY be considered for any of the in Classroom Volunteer opportunities if you fill out the Suffield PTA Class Volunteer Form (online, link below) AND are also a member of the Suffield PTA.
Head Classroom Coordinator- acts as a liaison between the volunteers and the teachers. They will also coordinate the classroom party volunteers. A lottery system will be used to choose these participants if there are more volunteers than the number allotted.
Classroom Volunteers- volunteer time in the classroom on an as needed basis as determined by the teachers.
Active Classroom Party Volunteers- are responsible to help the Head Classroom Coordinator plan and attend one party, Halloween or Holiday/Christmas. A limited number of parents/guardians will be allowed to participate in the parties. A lottery system will be used to choose these participants if there are more volunteers than the number allotted.
Inactive Classroom Party Volunteers- do not attend parties, but volunteer to send in requested items, snacks, etc.
