Advanced Infrastructure Management Bootcamp
What: Advanced infrastructure management bootcamp, an intensive class with modules that can be taken individually. Each module is four-six hours. Course participants have additional requirements.
Overview: Infrastructure asset management is a concept, a framework and a tool for making cost effective decision about investments in the maintenance, renewal and rebuilding of our physical infrastructure. The requirement for state departments of transportation to develop transportation asset management plans has focused additional attention on this area. Bootcamp is developed as a series of modules. The modules are aimed at helping students and practitioners to gain in-depth knowledge in particular areas of asset management. While the modules focus on transportation assets, examples are also drawn from other infrastructure assets. Each module includes an overview of the larger context, basic theory, examples and exercises. The modules are taught by internationally renowned experts from universities in the United States, Canada and Chile.
