Krishn Pal Singh

Mr. Krishn Pal Singh successfully defended his Ph. D. thesis titled "Investigation of optical properties of atomically heterogeneous systems created by microwave plasma based low energy ion beams" on April 8, 2024.

Dr. Krishn Pal Singh is currently teaching in an inter-college of UP government as a permanent teaching staff. 

Kalyani Barman

Ms. Kalyani Barman successfully defended her Ph. D thesis titled "Low-temperature atmospheric pressure micro-plasma jets: physics and applications" on November 3, 2023.

Dr. Kalyani Barman is currently undertaking postdoctoral research at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Non-equilibrium Plasma (IRCNP) at Tohoku University, Japan.  

Anuj Ram Baitha

Mr. Anuj Ram Baitha successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Production and study of a plasma confined in a dipole magnetic field" on April 2021.


Dr. Anuj Ram Baitha is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Physics at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. He is on leave from VIT and is at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (MPIPP) in Garching, Germany, as a postdoctoral fellow.  

Sanjeev Kumar Maurya

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Maurya successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Creation and studies of high aspect ratio micro-structures using noble gas plasma based focused ion beams" on April 2021


Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Maurya completed his postdoctoral work at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai (2021 - 2023). He was an assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Kaziranga University, Assam, for a brief period of time, and has recently joined Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO), Government of India as a permanent staff Scientist.  

Sanghamitro Chatterjee

Mr. Sanghamitro Chatterjee successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Surface physics of atomically heterogeneous systems produced by plasma based low energy ion beams" on Aug (2018)


Dr. Sanghamitro Chatterjee was an Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Bombay. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT) University, Dehradun.  

Kavita Rathore 

Ms. Kavita Rathore successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Optical tomographic and spectroscopic measurement for compact microwave induced plasma [jointly with Prof. Prabhat Munshi, ME]" on Jan (2018)

Shail Pandey

Dr. Shail Pandey successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Pulse modulated microwave plasmas : self-excited instability and plasma states" on July, 3 (2015)


Dr. Shail Pandey is an Assistant Professor at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. 


Samit Paul

Dr. Samit Paul successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Micron Focusing, Diagnostics and Structuring Using Multi-Element Ion Beams" on May, 7 (2015)


Dr. Samit Paul is currently is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Karimpur Pannadevi College, Government of West Bengal.

Abhishek Chowdhury

Dr. Abhishek Chowdhury successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Multielement focused ion beamlets from high-density microwave plasmas for localized low-energy ion matter interactions" on May, 30 (2014)


Dr. Abhishek Chowdhury was an Assistant Professor of Physics at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, R K Valley, Andhra Pradesh, and is currently working in the R&D section of Havells.

Debaprasad Sahu

Dr. Debaprasad Sahu successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Physics of negative ion containing plasmas: volume generation, measurement and wave induced phenomena" on December, 16 (2013)


Dr. Debaprasad Sahu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Indranuj Dey

Dr. Indranuj Dey successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Wave interaction with plasmas confined in multicusp magnetic fields" on November, 2 (2011)

Dr. Indranuj Dey carried out post doctoral research under Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship at Kyushu University (2012 - 2014), Japan and at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai (2014 - 2017). He is currently working as a Senior Experimental Physicist (R&D) in HIL Applied Medical, Israel

Jose V. Mathew

Dr. Jose V. Mathew successfully defended his Ph. D thesis titled "Multi-element focused ion beams from intense microwave plasmas: physics and applications" on December, 22 (2010)


Dr. Jose V. Mathew completed post doctoral research under "Dr. K.S.Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA)" at Bhaba Atomic Research Center (BARC), Mumbai, India and joined BARC as a scientific officer. He is currently Scientific Officer F.
