The Mechanical Team is responsible for designing, prototyping, and assembling the physical structure of our underwater ROV, ZIMA. This includes tasks like creating CAD models, conducting stress and buoyancy analysis, manufacturing components, and working on waterproof sealing, frame construction, and modular attachments.

Designing and modeling parts using SolidWorks or other CAD tools
Building the ROV structure using 3D printing, laser cutting, or hand tools
Performing buoyancy and structural analysis to ensure underwater performance
Developing waterproofing solutions (e.g., O-rings, epoxy, sealing)
Collaborating with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless integration
Prototyping and refining components through testing and iteration
Hands-on fabrication — cutting, drilling, assembling, and modifying parts
Have some experience or curiosity about building, designing, or crafting things
Are hands-on learners who enjoy turning ideas into physical solutions
Are willing to learn, test, and improve their designs through iteration
