Terms of Use
Last updated: May 31, 2026 · Effective: May 31, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Subside app ("Subside", "the app"), a subscription-tracking application for iPhone and iPad developed by Yassine Hammouti ("the Developer", "we", "us"). By downloading or using Subside, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app and what it does
Subside helps you record and keep track of your own subscriptions — including their prices, billing cycles, renewal and trial dates — and reminds you before charges occur. All figures, reminders, savings estimates, and insights are provided for informational purposes only. You enter your own data, and the accuracy of what Subside shows depends on the accuracy of the information you provide. Subside does not connect to your bank, card, or the subscription services themselves. It cannot cancel a subscription, make a payment, or charge you for any third-party service. Cancelling a subscription with a provider is always something you do directly with that provider.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Subside on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
3. Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA)
Subside is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), available at: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
To the extent any conflict exists between these Terms and the Standard EULA solely with respect to the licensed application, the Standard EULA governs. You acknowledge that the agreement is between you and the Developer only, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
4. In-app purchases
Subside offers a one-time, non-consumable "lifetime" in-app purchase that unlocks premium features. Subside is not a subscription service and does not auto-renew or recurringly bill you.
- All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; payment is charged to your Apple ID.
- The lifetime unlock can be restored on your devices via "Restore Purchases" using the same Apple ID.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region and over time.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms. The Developer cannot directly issue refunds for App Store purchases.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including not attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify it except as permitted by law, not using it for any unlawful purpose, and not interfering with its intended operation.
6. Your data
You are responsible for the information you enter into Subside and for keeping your device secure. Subside stores your data on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud account. The Developer does not collect or have access to your data. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Subside is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate, reminder, or insight it produces is accurate or complete. Subside does not provide financial, legal, or professional advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Subside — including, for example, a missed cancellation or an unexpected charge from a third-party provider. Your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.
9. Changes to the app and Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue features of Subside at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
