Sergius L. KUZMIN, born in 1959 in Moscow, educated from Moscow State Pedagogical Institute (1982), Ph.D. Biology (USSR Academy of Sciences, 1987), D.Sc. History (Russian Academy of Sciences, 2017). Leading Research Fellow at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Author of more than 400 scientific publications, including more than 10 monographs in history and biology. Main fields of research are history of Mongolia and Tibet, ecology and nature conservation.

In 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Department of Mongolian Studies of the Mongolian State University on the topic: “Tengrianism and Mahayana Buddhism. History and interaction”. The dissertation work was carried out under the supervision of Academician Sh. Bira

I have scientific research in the field of Buddhism. I have published scientific works on the following topics:

“Buddhist scripture ‘Chadamba’ in Old Mongolian language in the funds of the National Museum of the Republic of Tuva as a valuable object of spiritual culture of Tuvinians”; “About Buddhist temple from the collection of the National Museum of the Republic of Tuva: the problem of accounting attribution and storage”; “Buddhist temple Tuvdan Choikhorling - the main symbol of the revival of Buddhism in the Republic of Tuva” and others.

Executor of the research project carried out within the framework of the state assignment of the Government of the Republic of Tyva “Identification of objects of Buddhist cultural heritage of Tuva: creation of an electronic database”, engaged in searching for the locations of Buddhist temples and monasteries destroyed during the Soviet period.

Одоо Өвөр Монголын их сургуулийн орчин үеийн түүхийн хүрээлэнгийн захирал, Монголын түүхийн тэнхимийн профессор, Өвөр Монголын түүхчдийн нийгэмлэгийн дэд дарга, "Дотоод Азийн түүх ба соёл судалгаа" олон улсын сэтгүүлийн ерөнхий редактороор ажиллаж байна.
