How It Started

Studio2J didn't start in a boardroom; it started with late-night voice notes between Seoul and Japan.

Despite living miles apart, we (Jin & Jo) realized we were both searching for the same thing: a way to heal, recharge, and capture our daily lives through paper. We asked ourselves, "What if we could combine the cute, trendy aesthetic of Korean stationery with the timeless craftsmanship of Japanese tools?"

That question became Studio2J (Journal & Journey). We built this studio to bridge the gap between our two worlds and share our absolute favorite finds with you.

"Stationery is my luxury." For me, walking into a stationery shop in Seoul is better than walking into a luxury boutique. It is where I recharge. I curate items that are not just tools, but "healing pieces" for your desk—things that make the act of planning feel special. I love hunting for those hidden gems in Hongdae and Yeonnam that you can't find anywhere else.

"Journaling is my daily ritual." Living in Japan has deepened my love for zakka culture—finding joy in small, everyday objects. As an F-type, I focus on the feeling behind the products. I look for the textures, the paper quality, and the craftsmanship that Japan is famous for. I want to help you find the tools that make you want to write your story down.
