Making Mends is a workshop that explores visible mending, a technique for repairing clothes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own items that need fixing. Throughout the workshop, we will practice various mending techniques and explore the broader meanings of mending and repair. The workshop format can be adapted to various settings and tailored to specific learning objectives.

Making Mends Kids is designed for children to playfully explore notions of breakage and repair through worksheets and hands on activities. Making Mends Kids teaches the skills for visible mending, a style of repairing damaged or worn-out clothing. Visible mending not only restores wear and tear, but is also an act of care that allows a garment to grow and transform with us, taking on a new life and carrying with it the memories of previous ones.

The Design for Circularity Workshop is a 4-day workshop introducing participants to the Circular Economy (CE) and circular design. After a short lecture on the basic workings of the CE, participants engage in a hands-on design brief that focuses on one circular strategy. The workshop invites companies with circular capabilities and ambitions to collaborate and introduce participants to circularity in practice.
