My name is Sandra Cook and I am the Student Engagement Manager.

Student Engagement Team

The Student Engagement Team is looking forward to meeting you on campus and online. We work with the CitySA and learning and teaching teams to make sure that you have a brilliant student experience at City of Glasgow College. We want to hear your views and work with class representatives to ensure that your voice is heard at City. We work within the CitySA offices on Floor 2 at City and Ground Floor at Riverside.

Meet some of our student engagement staff

Madeline Jean, Students’ Association Digital Officer

Hello, welcome to City.

I’m Madeline and I’m the Digital Officer for the Students’ Association.

My job is to effectively communicate with students through our various online platforms including social media, email and the Students’ Association website.

My name is Janice Kennedy and I am the Students’ Association Administrator.

I work in the Students’ Association office, providing admin support to your Presidential Team and Student Exec, to make sure that students have the best experience while studying at the College.

I’m looking forward to meeting our new students, so please pop into the Students’ Association and say hello.

Ian Gilmour, Student Engagement Officer

My name is Ian Gilmour, I'm one of the Student Engagement Officers and I'm based in City Campus.

Each Student Engagement Officer has a very different remit; in my case, my role is to support the Students’ Association in delivering the Class Representative system.

Be sure to get involved in your Students' Association and add that extra bit of fun to your college experience.

Hello everyone, I'm Michelle and my job title is Students' Association Admin Assistant, which covers a lot of different and interesting work!

I am based at Riverside Campus and I support international students in answering their queries and establishing their lives here in Glasgow.

I also support the work of the Students' Association with the behind-the-scenes magic, working with the Presidential Team to help them organise their calendar of events, clubs and societies. I am also a friendly face at events and drop-in's where I might see you.

Every day is diverse but I get to know students which keeps my job fresh and exciting.

Hi everyone, I'm Marj and welcome to the College.

I am a Student Engagement Officer working with Nautical and STEM students.

In my role I support students with the class rep system, delivering workshops to class groups and supporting students at sessions and events both online and offline, so I may meet a few of you sometime.

I work together with Michelle and Megan at Riverside Campus supporting the work of the Students' Association and welcoming international students to the College. Every day is busy, different and the best bit is working with students to help them through their College journey.
