Aaron McKenna, Student Information and Funding Assistant
My name is Aaron. I work as a Student Information and Funding Assistant in Student Services.
I am a former student at the college, graduating with an HND Business qualification. I then went on to study International Business at Glasgow Caledonian University.
In my photo I am attending the wedding of a friend I met at University.
Part of my job is to support students with their student funding applications as well as providing information and working on the Student Services helpdesk assisting students with their course application and funding enquiries.
My name is Kathryn Grant. I work as a Student Information and Funding Assistant in Student Services.
I have worked with Student Funding for just over a year now, and the team around me are great.
My role is in place to help full time students with their bursary/EMA and travel funding, as well as advising with the childcare fund.
When I'm not in work, I love the gym, health and fitness. I have kept myself busy during lockdown by building a gym in my garage and getting more involved in crossfit!

Hello and welcome to the College.
My name is Simona Schirru and I work as a Student Information and Funding Assistant in Student Services.
I am originally from sunny Sardinia in Italy and I moved to the UK in 1999 after joining a European voluntary service programme.
I fell in love with Scotland, and that’s me still here, 21 years later.
I am a former CoGC photography graduate and I cherish some fantastic memories from my time as a student.
Part of my job in Student Services involves processing course applications, providing advice and support to students through their journey at the College and helping to enjoy the best possible experience.
