Christen & Andrea: For our next steps, we will continue to incorporate sustainable topics within our lessons to keep student interest and engagement high. We would also like to try incorporating more problem-based and inquiry-based lessons in the future so students can take ownership of their learning.
Anna: For my next steps, I am looking for a teacher or staff member to take over the gardening club in the spring semester, but it's difficult to find someone with the same degree of passion or greater. In my classroom, I want to be diligent with recycling and have a bin in the room and educate the students on what can and can't be recycled.
Evelyn: As my next steps, I would like to continue my journey on starting up a recycle club at Cholla Middle School. Maybe next year, I can find a team member to join me on setting up a recycle club during school or as an after school program. I have considered even starting it up as a form of behavior intervention to help those students that may need some community service around school.
