PRESIDENT
-Actively look to fill SAL future Vacancies
-Become a better President for the SGA and the Student Body
-Check in on SGA officer’s office hours
-Coordinate with Student Activities to organize meeting with TCC President and administration
-Coordinate with VP for PTK cooperation -Create Meeting Agenda for next meeting -Gain insight from Students
-Provide Higher Education Application to the SGA
-Serve Office Hours and Serve in mandatory SGA meetings
-Work with SGA to set up an SGA table with food and surveys
-Update SGA regularly
-Help SGA officers with Assignments
VICE PRESIDENT
-Serve as President of the Student Senate
-Coordinate with Senate Chair in scheduling monthly student senate meeting
-Perform all duties of the President in their absence
-Provide advice to the President
-Serve as the main contact to student leaders regarding all SGA business
-Ensure scheduled meetings/events are made public and student leaders are all made aware
-Fulfill any reasonable requests made by the SGA President to meet any needs of the SGA
-Coordinate with PTK to find how SGA can help with events or activities
-Evaluate SGA officers and provide feedback to President if necessary
-Coordinate with Clubs so that no events conflict with each other
SECRETARY
-Oversight of the Elections Committee
-Keep an accurate record of attendance and discussion for each Student Senate and Executive Board meeting
-Record and post minutes for each Student Senate and E-board meeting
-Update SGA Constitution and by-laws when amendments are appropriately adopted
PARLIAMENTARIAN
-Serve as expert in Robert’s Rules of Order
-Advise presiding officers on questions of parliamentary procedures
-Keep order of those wishing to be recognized
-Keep order of motions during Senate meetings
-Coordinate with Secretary in ensuring all office hours have been sent and meeting minutes are accurate
-Coordinate with SALs in obtaining information from the Student Body such as casual interviews and/or SGA table
SENATE CHAIR
-Perform all duties of the Vice President in the case of his/her absence
-Oversight of the Student Senate
-Serve as liaison between SGA E-board and the Student Senate
-Coordinate with Vice President in preparing for each Student Senate meeting
-Preside over all Student Senate meetings and ensure all dates/times/locations are posted in a timely and visible manner
-Coordinate with SALs for student campus reports
-Coordinate with all clubs/organizations in ensuring their needs are met
-Work with the Office of Student Activities to ensure Senators are aware of all TCC District policies (i.e. travel, logistical policies, chain of command and reporting, event funding/planning, fundraising process, etc.)
-Receive motions for consideration to be put on Many upcoming agendas
-Prepare agenda and distribute to all members of SGA (E-board, Senate, boards/committees, Ambassadors, etc.
-Appoint Chairpersons to any Ad Hoc committees
TREASURER
-Oversee Funding Board
-Responsible for keeping accurate accounts of all revenue/expenditures
-Submit and present any financial reports to the Student Senate
-Shall ensure that files and books concerning all fiscal matters remain secure and current -Brainstorm Fundraisers
HISTORIAN
-Coordinate the documentation of all SGA activities through photos/footage/social media/documentation
-Prepare and present compiled documentation of activities to E-board and Student Senate
-Lead in all preparation of promotional materials
-Pictures and Videos can be taken on phone AND/OR professional camera.
Historian MUST take pictures/videos at each event
-Pictures/videos of any event MUST be posted on ALL social media no later than a week after (NO EXCEPTIONS)
-All Holidays are to be posted on all socials (questions about any in particular, contact SGA President)
-Repost any important TCC information (ex: upcoming TCC events, bad weather, news, campus closure...)
-ALL event flyers MUST be posted on social media at least a week in advance and shared again a day before the event
- ANY and ALL event flyers must be emailed to student activities one week before the event. Student activities will print copies of the flyer and post them around campus!
This will ensure all students are made aware.
