This is the main governing branch of the Student Government Association as authorized by the District SGA Constitution; it is made up of seven (7) elected student leaders. The purpose of this executive board is to serve as direct liaison between the general student body and the campus President and their Executive Team. This board of elected student officers actively represents their entire campus on and off campus grounds throughout the duration of a one (1) academic year term. This board meets weekly during the academic year and as needed during the summer following their election for strategic planning.
President
•Oversight of the Student Ambassador Program
•Execute/enforce provisions of SGA Constitution
•Preside over all meetings of the SGA E-board
•Serve as official representative of SGA E-Board
•Appoint Chairpersons of standing committees
Vice President
•Serve as President of the Student Senate
•Perform all duties of President in their absence
•Serve as main contact to student leaders in regards to all SGA business
•Ensure scheduled meetings/events are made public and student leaders are all made aware
•Fulfill any reasonable requests made by the SGA President in attempt to meet any needs of SGA
Senate Chair
•Oversight of the Student Senate
•Perform all duties of the Vice President in the case of his/her absence
•Coordinate with Vice President in preparing for each Student Senate meeting
•Receive motions for consideration to be put on Many upcoming agendas
•Prepare agenda and distribute to all members of SGA (E-board, Senate, boards/committees, Ambassadors, etc.)
•Appoint Chairpersons to any Ad Hoc committees
•Serve as liaison between SGA E-board and the Student Senate
Treasurer
•Oversight of the Funding Board
•Responsible for keeping accurate accounts of allrevenue/expenditures
•Submit and present any financial reports to theStudent Senate
•Shall ensure that files and books concerning allfiscal matters remain secure and current
Secretary
•Oversight of the Elections Committee
•Keep accurate record of attendance and discussion for each Student Senate and Executive Board meeting
•Record and post minutes for each Student Senate and E-board meeting
•Update SGA Constitution and by-laws when amendments are appropriately adopted
Parliamentarian
•Serve as expert in Robert’s Rules of Order
•Advise presiding officers on questions of parliamentary procedures
•Keep order of those wishing to be recognized
•Keep order of motions during Senate meetings
Historian
•Coordinate the documentation of all SGA activities through photos/footage/social media/documentation
•Prepare and present compiled documentation of activities to E-board and Student Senate
•Lead in all preparation of promotional materials
