Pushing the limits of chromatin simulation

DNA is a very long polymer whose meter-long properties are dependent of Å-scale details. I will summarize efforts done in Barcelona on multiscale simulation of DNA, and how it is not possible to move slowly from atomic detailed to mesoscopic models, providing accurate pictures on the DNA and interacting proteins from nucleosome to transcription factor. Main message is that new theoretical models can be the perfect complement to last generation experimental techniques.
