This leaflet contains a summary of the studies Scottish Power Transmission undertook to conform to the visual mitigation condition in their consent. It contains useful information about options, including the relative cost of underground cables vs. pylons. 

Based on the Beauly-Denny development this report recommends a need for increased engagement with local communities at an earlier stage of planning and trust between communities, developers and government.

The project is making use of a £465m provision by Ofgem to carry out work that reduced the impact of existing transmission lines in English and Welsh Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) and National Parks.
