EDUCATOR PREPARATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Objective for Goal 1: ALL Apollo JH teachers will become Google Educator Level 1 certified by September 2022.
Action plan: HIGH PRIORITY
Digital Coach- Jacob Dees- will create an alphabetical certification schedule by March 15, 2022 to include specific due dates that teachers should have finished the FREE Google certification training for level 1.
Measurement: Schedule follow up with Mr. Dees March 7th to visit on progress of creation of the schedule and possible start dates for teachers
Objective for Goal 2: Increase the amount of teachers that discuss the use of available technologies during planning meetings by 30% to reach seamless integration of technology into curriculum.
Action plan: HIGH PRIORITY
Principal- Yolanda Gaither- will generate a mass email detailing the goals and objectives of the Technology Strategic/Advancement Plan, reiterating on the urgency to approach tech use during planning meetings by March 10, 2022.The email will be set to automatically generate and be sent out on a schedule created by Principal Gaither and the other Assistant Principals.
Measurement: Principal Gaither can choose to sit in 3 planning meetings per week to gain knowledge and data on whether the mass email is making positive changes to the discussion surround technology integration.
TEACHING & LEARNING
Objective for Goal 3: Outline the affordances of all current forms of educational technologies available while attempting to close the 15% gap of teachers and students that use their device daily.
Action plan: LOW PRIORITY
Digital coaches Jacob Dee’s and Amanda Dunn Will create a list of educational technologies currently available to the campus by. Once the list is created, both digital coaches will take half of the list and begin to elaborate on the affordances of each software while researching each and confirming certificates and subscriptions for the campus. List is due by May 31, 2022.
Measurement: Schedule a meeting for March 15 to review progress on creating the list itself. Schedule second meeting April 15 to review progress on descriptions of affordances. Schedule meeting for May 15 to review progress on wrapping up the list to be ready to send out to teachers.
Objective for Goal 4: Create TA TEKS checklist for content areas to increase TEKS integration by 50% in the next year.
Action plan: MEDIUM PRIORITY
Digital Coach Amanda Dunn will research TA TEKS objectives for each subject area and create a digital flyer for each area reminding teachers of the TEKS by March 10, 2022.
Measurement: Schedule follow up meeting for March 15 to visit on status of completion. Schedule follow up March 7 to view drafts of flyers.
LEADERSHIP , ADMINISTRATION, INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
Objective for Goal 5: Implement rewards programs that will target improvement over the next year as a trial run.
Action plan: LOW PRIORITY
Principlal Yolanda Gaither will organize a meeting with both assistant principals to discuss possible rewards and circumstances of the rewards program to be created by April 30, 2020. Improvement categories, points system, and possible rewards are drafted and to be finalized with confirmed contributions from PTA by May 30th.
Measurement: Create a checklist of action items to be done on a complimentary schedule to adhere to with the goal of implementation by 2022-2023 school year.
INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TECHNOLOGY
Objective for Goal 6: Form a campus technology department/committee that will oversee constant access to
Action plan: HIGH PRIORITY
Lead Digital Coach Jacob Dee’s will name individuals that will form the committee by March 15, 2022 to be reviewed by the Principal. Individuals will meet twice a month to discuss ways to maintain access.
Measurement: Principal can choose meetings to sit in on to review discussions and make suggestions
MISUSE OF TECHNOLOGY
Objective for 7: Gather input from a minimum of 70% of staff members to create a proper instructional use of devices instructional video.
Action plan: Assistant Principal- Kirstin Pernici- will generate a survey to disperse to teachers inquiring about the top concerns of appropriate chrome book use and possible solutions to the issue by April 10, 2022. The survey will be circulated until April 30.
Measurement: Schedule follow up meeting for April 1 to visit on status of survey questions. Collect data on how many teachers have completed the survey as of April 20.
