Building Families in Jesus Christ
Brothers and Sisters in Christ gathered together in God's household through God's Word and Sacraments being built on the loving foundation of Jesus Christ
As Christians, we believe...
The Bible, both Old and New Testament, is in every part the inspired Word of God, unalterable and complete, requiring no human interpretations and permitting no addition to its teachings.
God is one divine essence who has revealed Himself in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Man, originally created by God, pure and holy, fell from this high state, bringing the curse of sin upon the whole human race, and in his present fallen state, is entirely depraved and enslaved in sin.
The Law, summarized in the Ten Commandments, demands perfection of heart, thought, word, and deed, and therefore cannot save, but wholly condemns the sinner.
The Gospel, reveals how Jesus Christ, the Son of Mary and the Son of God, perfectly fulfilled the law in man's stead, and by His suffering and death, on the cross, paid the full penalty for the guilt of the whole world, and by His resurrection has been declared the all sufficient Divine Redeemer. All who penitently receive the gift of Jesus as the one and only Savior in faith are justified in the sight of God and made heirs of salvation.
Faith is not a personal achievement, but it is wrought in the heart of man by God the Holy Spirit, Who works through the "Means of Grace", the Word (Bible) and the Two Sacraments.
Holy Baptism, commanded by Jesus Himself, and to be administered to both young and old without exception, is a washing of regeneration, a spiritual rebirth, through which saving faith is created in man's heart by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the Gospel.
Holy Communion, in which every communicant receives the true body and blood of the living Jesus Christ in, with and under the bread and wine, is received by the believing Christian for the strengthening of his faith and his growth in godliness.
The Church is the sum total of all who believe in the Triune God and who have faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Judgment Day will come at the end of time, when Jesus will visibly return to judge the living and the dead, receiving into Eternal Glory all who believe in him, and pronouncing eternal doom upon all who refused to acknowledge Him as their Redeemer and Lord.
The purpose of this Congregation shall be to seek the honor and glory of God, to carry out His will, to manifest the unity of our faith in Jesus Christ as God and Savior, to spread the Kingdom of God and to foster Christian fellowship and love by preaching the Word of God, by administration of the Sacraments, and by religious instruction of all its members, according to the Confessional Standards of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (Article III).
