The authors have established that calcaneus in the horse articulates with the tarsal bone in the following manner: with four facets (61 %), with three facets (37 %) and with two facets (2 %). Besides the calcaneus articulates with the central tarsal bone with one facet (7 %) and with IV tarsal bone with one facet (95 %) and with two facets (5 %) from the examined 100 calcanei. The lack of variations in the shape, size and disposition of the joint facets of the tarsal bone in bovine and swine could be explained by the fact that these animals do not exercise various motions, characteristic of the horse.2. The author has established that the bronchooesophageus artery in horse is separated in the following manner: 1. From the right aorta wall – at 5 horse; 2. From the sixth right intercostal artery - at 2 horses; 3. From ventral aorta wall - at 1 horse; 4. From the sixth right intercostal artery which has a oommon stem with the left intercostal artery - at 2 horses; 5. From the aorta wall through weak dilatation - at 2 horses. The subpleural arterial network as a rule is formed by three branches. But later the middle branch is reduced and remains only cranial and caudal source. This fact corroborates the understanding that in the construction of the subpleural network of the lungs in horse exists a determined zonality. The reduction of the middle nutritive source to all probability is due to the participation of the left stomachal artery in the formation of the subpleural network. The extramural nutritive vessels of the horse always are accompanied by the corresponding veins.3. Гаджев, C. (1980). It was proven that with 35.7 % of the cattle belonging to the breed "Bulgarian Brown" sinus nasalis was observed. It was established starting at the age of one and is connected with the nasal cavity through the dorsal shell sinus. A case of innate anomaly of the main brain with a male new-born calf from the Bulgarian brown breed. Changes were established in the development of the main brain including some lacking parts of it. It is presumed that as a result of this anomaly some other changes have occurred, namely in the face, the facial bones and the skull. Studied were the structure and localization of the venous plexuses in the chewing muscles of a total of twenty newborn and growing lambs and sheep (aged up to 8 years) of both sexes through preparation, corosion and measuring. It was found that the venous plexuses were localized within the muscles and had definite boundaries. They were shown to be connected with the muscles and the periosteum of the neighbouring bones and lay in the way of the emissary and bone veins and the veins that came from the muscles. The venous plexuses formed loops of a varying size and form and the veins had two layer valvulae. In newborn lambs the plexuses were at birth well-structured and localized. The venous vessels were found to be in close contact with the branching of the regional arteries. Numerical data are given concerning the size of the plexuses observed. It was assumed that these structures, beside their collecting the blood from the muscles, the rostral portion of the maxillar sinus, the alveolae of the last two molars of the maxilla, the brain and the venous sinuses in dura mater are also of hemodynamic importance with regard to the correct distribution of the blood and its downward course (from the head to the neck).Инф. бази данни, в които е реферирана/индексирана публикацията: Scopus, MEDLINE/PubMed, Google Scholar8. Studied was the structure of the internal carotid artery of a total of forty newborn and growing lambs, ewes and rams at the age of up to 8 years, both male and female through preparation, corrosion and histologic methods. Depending on the topography of the artery it could be divided into 3 portions: external, medial and internal. The medial portion was found to form three S-shaped curves in the tympanic cavity and over the auditory tube. Obliteration was shown to start from the middle portion prior to birth and it proceeded caudoventrally toward the onset of the artery. During obliteration there were no hyperplastic changes in the three layers of the vessel wall. However, the endothelium underwent certain alteration in that it became similar to the cells of the connective tissue. The internal elastic membrane was disrupted and it gradually disappeared and the smooth muscle cells of the media resembled the epithelioid and the connective tissue cells. The elastic fibres of the adventitia visibly grew in number. The intracranial portion was found to be of muscle type, having a well-developed internal elastic membrane. It retained its connection with the middle portion of the artery during lifetime through a thin branch. Mammaries of 74 cows from the Bulgarian Brown Cattle with 245 lymph knots have been investigated. It has been established that the cows from that breed have 1-5 mammary lymph knots. According to the number of the lymph knots the animals are subdivided into 5 basic types. I type - cows with 1 mammary gland were found to be 6.75 % of all investigated animals. II type - cows with 2 lymph knots – 12.10 %. III type - cows with 3 lymph knots – 43.25 %. IV type - cows with 4 lymph knots – 18.95 %. V type - cows with 5 lymph knots – 18.95 %. The most frequently met lymph knots have a regularly or irregularly oval form. According to their size the lymph knots are divided into 3 groups - large, medium and small. The structure of rete mirabile epidurale rostrale of 20 sheep and rams at 2 to 6 years of age has been studied by preparation, corrosion and histological methods. It has been established that the network is a well-developed double formation lying in the cavernous sinus and in the third rostral part of the ventral stony sinus. It is limited by the round and torn opening and it has a form of a truncated triangular pyramid. Its forming vessels have a curved movement and different diameter and they show at the same time numerous anastomosis. Both networks are connected by two arterial vessels. The vessels that form the network have microscopic structure, characteristic for the muscular arteries. The peripheral vessels have thicker adventation because they are strengthened by the trabecules coming out the sinus wall. The network vessels have an open or very constricted lumen. It has been established presence of vegetative plexus in the sinus wall and single ganglenous cells and also heaps of ganglenous cells in the trigeminal branches.14. High quality and long lasting preparations are needed for replenishing the anatomical collections and museums and for illustrating the course of education. The authors of the present article describe three of the methods for preparing dry anatomical preparations most often applied in the Chair of anatomy in the Higher Institute of Zootechnics and Veterinary Medicine in Stara Zagora, namely: 1. Drying and fixing lungs and stomachs by filling them up with air under pressure with the aid of an electropneumatic pump MP-5. 2. Making dry preparations of heart, kidneys and spleen by preserving fluids. 3. Making corrosion preparations of blood vessels and excretory canals of various organs by injecting the plastics kalocril and superpont. The authors underline the advantages of the dry anatomical preparations made in these ways and recommend the methods described to all working in museums and to teachers in agricultural and veterinarian technicums in Bulgaria.15.
